Chocolate is mentioned (again). Shocker.

I am sitting here trying to figure out how it is possible that I last blogged exactly three weeks ago…I feel like I live in a time warp!

Anyway…some random things…

1)I never did make these (yet), but I did make these…and they must be the reason I put on a couple of pounds.  These things are dangerous.  I was originally planning to make them for our small group, but then small group got cancelled.  And I had already told my 3 year old  I would be making brownies and didn’t want to disappoint.  So there you have it.  I highly recommend them, especially if you either a) have good self-control or b) have a great exercise regimen. 🙂

2) I have decided that nothing makes me question my skills as a parent more than when my children don’t sleep well.  Just when Asher begins to sleep well without multiple wake-ups, something happens that results in him waking numerous times all over again.  Eila was (and is for the most part) a champion sleeper, so it has completely caught me off guard that Asher is not.  While Eila managed teething quite well, Asher appears much more sensitive to it, and you’d better believe I know it when he has another molar popping through.  As in now.  Which means he is more clingy, fussy, and ready to cuddle during the night.  A lot.  I keep asking myself what I’ve done wrong that resulted in his difficulty self-soothing and putting himself back to sleep (for those times when he is not in pain), and I have to remind myself that he is simply a different kid. Case closed.  Although, that argument does not always defeat my doubts…

3)  I’m not good at being patient.  At least, when it comes to waiting on news that affects my future.  Of course, most people probably aren’t, but still…I have a sneaking suspicion that that is exactly why God has me waiting right now…more on this later.
